Will not allow a URL to the product be shared by text or email

When I click share button for a product, I expect to be able to select email app or SMS to send to whoever I want to. I dont want to have to provide email in the bed bath app. This is ridiculously implemented. Almost all shopping apps allow sharing the product URL with the app I have already not force me to provide my Twitter or Facebook password to bedbath app to share the product. Brick stores need to make online shopping easier else they will be put out of business by Amazon.
